Welcome to the latest edition of the Mt. Prospect Golf Club summer newsletter! As the temperatures rise and the days grow longer, we’re excited to bring you all the updates and highlights from our vibrant golfing community.
Course Maintenance
In this section, we’ll provide insights into our ongoing efforts in course maintenance and introduce you to our new assistant superintendent, Justin Sisler. We’ll detail the various tasks underway, including:
Trimming Back Sandtraps and Adding More Sand: We’ve been working on enhancing the playability and aesthetics of our sand traps by trimming them back and replenishing them with fresh sand.
Fixing Driving Range Netting: Over the past nine years, our driving range netting has deteriorated, affecting its visual appeal. To remedy this, we’ve replaced over 200 yards of netting along the first hole.
Did you know? We are on our normal mowing/rolling schedule for the greens. We walk mow on Monday and Friday, roll on Tuesday and Thursday and tri-plex mow on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
Meet Justin Sisler
We’re thrilled to introduce Justin Sisler, our new Assistant Superintendent at Mt. Prospect Golf Club. Originally from West Virginia, Justin brings his passion for golf and course maintenance to our team. With a keen eye for detail and a love for seeing the course come to life each morning, Justin is ready to make this season unforgettable. Say hello if you see him on the course!
Summer Golf Lessons
This summer, come learn golf with us! We’ve got lessons for all ages and skill levels. If you’re just starting out, we’ll cover the basics over five weeks, then get you out on the course. For people who already play, we offer personalized tips to improve your game. And for the kids, we’ve got fun lessons in a friendly environment. Sign up now and get ready to hit the fairways this summer!

Grass Tee Opening!
Exciting news – our much-loved grass tee will be opening every Friday through Sunday, from Memorial Day to Labor Day, weather permitting.
